So, nun heißt es auf der letzten Strecke für die Wahlen in USA dann doch: Daumen drücken vor Obama. Am Samstag vor der Wahl veranstaltet die Landeszentrale für politische Bildung in Baden-Württemberg eine interessante Tagesveranstaltung zum Thema „Präsidentschafts-Kandidatinnen von Woodhull bis Clinton – woran sie scheiterten". Ich stelle mir vor, dass das sehr interessant wird. Ich werde dabei die Kampagne von Victoria Woodhull (im Jahr 1872) vorstellen und Pia Ueter die Kampagne von Hillary Clinton. Anschließend diskutieren wir die Frage, wie es um das Verhältnis von Frauen und politischer Macht steht, warum das Verhältnis so schwierig ist und was sich aus dem Scheitern von Woodhull und Clinton lernen lässt.
